Discussion:
Eid-al-fitr onset (earliest waxing crescent)
(too old to reply)

April 9, 2024. To get UTC add 2.5 hours.

As I feared, there has been another full reset,
but with no further changes required.

Though it is cloudy here, the earliest waxing crescent has
been sighted in some parts of the world, and Eid-al-fitr
will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere
on April 10 (or I think technically from the evening of
April 9 to the evening of April 10).

Though Mohammed is not a popthrough ootw but is
a Founder/Guru/Missionary/Prophet type, a correlation
with EId-al-fitr would be acceptable to me, and I still
hope that the blessing I mentioned on alt.religion.islam
last night will occur tonight.

I also invoke my Silver Bough thumb again, from
https://www.nfld.com/~dalton/thumbs.html ,
in which I thumbed at random a new moon poem
that in translation ended with the line
“Thou moon of moons and of blessings!”
(There are also a Koran thumb and a Koran finger
on that webpage.)

With that in mind I began a new attempt at 5:12 p.m.
I won’t post updates unless someone asks me to,
but you can assume I am proceeding much as I
did in the “Post-total-solar-eclipse attempt” thread.
Please follow up if you have any questions or can
note any effects.

I hope I don’t have to wait until I first see the
waxing crescent here with my naked eyes, which
could be another couple of days.

Everything is supposedly done now except [SMPES],
s.m.p.e. onset, [PCMM] beyond number 60, [HCP],
[GSB], [B] in general, and memory jogging.

I am pretty sure I saw the waxing crescent for the first time
this lunar month over two hours ago, through some
leafless tree branches, before it got cloudy.

FULL RESET, with one change required:

1. [mass soul fragment retrieval] (to heal all psychological
trauma, including intergenerational effects) won’t be done
until after [GSB] and [HCP].

I began a new attempt at 3:40 p.m. and again won’t post updates
until it is complete unless someone asks me to do so. Please
follow up if you have any questions and especially if you note
any effects.

I was hoping to go out to live music tonight but now that looks
unlikely unless I take my notebook with me,

That could have been just the reflection of the sun
off a tree branch.

Yes, I am sure it was now, so I have not yet spotted
the waxing crescent, and probably won’t until around
sunset, which will be at 7:45 p.m. NDT.

I went for a walk and spotted the waxing crescent for
the first time this lunar month at about 7:55 NDT.

FULL RESET, with one change required:

1. [i.p. & i.b.p.t.s.r. & a.i.] add the duration of my low years
so far (a bit more than 28, or 4X7, years) to the associated
information (a.i.).

I began a new attempt at 8:23 p.m. so I guess I won’t
be going to hear Mick Davis at The Black Sheep on George
tonight. But I did pick up two large cans of Black Horse
beer on my walk.
